Tips for Tile Ordering
- The calculator starts at 15% extra for straight and diagonal layouts, 10% for brick bond and 20% for herringbone. Type over it for rooms with lots of cuts, nibs or floor wastes.
- Keep spare tiles from the same batch for future repairs.
- Grout depends on tile size, joint width and tile thickness: about 0.26 kg per m² for 600 × 300 tiles with a 3mm joint, rising to about 1 kg per m² for 100 × 100 tiles. The calculator works it out from your inputs.
- Adhesive coverage: typically 4–5 kg per m² with a 10mm notched trowel.
