Fencing Calculation Formula
Posts: ceil(Fence Length ÷ Post Spacing) + 1 + Corners + Gates
Rails: (Posts − 1) × 3 rails per bay
Palings: ceil(Fence Length × 6.7 per metre)
Concrete Bags: Posts × 2 bags (20 kg each)

Note: 6.7 palings per metre assumes standard 150 mm palings. 2 × 20 kg bags of concrete per post for 450 mm deep footings.

Tips for Fencing Estimates
- Add an extra post for each end, corner, and gate location.
- Allow 2×20 kg bags of concrete per post (600mm deep hole).
- Timber posts should be H4 treated for in-ground use.
- Check your local council for maximum fence height — typically 1.8m for side/rear, 1.2m for front.
